Hosea 4:6 says - "My people perish for lack of knowledge." And Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 to "Go and make
disciples of all nations..." Therefore we are a disciple-making church. It is our purpose to equip those whom God
has planted at GCF with the knowledge of the word of God. We have developed various Discipleship Materials as
well as Materials taught in a class setting to equip believers to do the work of the ministry and thereby fulfill the call
of God on their life. The following is a list of the various teachings we offer here at GCF.
Teaching & Discipleship
Our Pre-Membership Class covers the area of Delegated Spiritual Authority. In
this Class you will learn about the principles of Delegated Spiritual Authority as
seen throughout scripture and how those principles are seen in the establishment
of the early church by the Holy Spirit through the Apostles. These principles, when
observed and implemented in a local church setting help maintain and nurture the
unity and spiritual vitality of the local church body.
Freedom is a discipleship course that is implemented in a 2-on-1 setting; two
disciplers ministering to one disciple. Freedom is a discipleship extension of our
Deliverance & The Local Church Class. Freedom is designed to equip the
believer to understand that their battle is not against flesh and blood but against
principalities and powers, and that they have the tools from the Word of God to
overcome the enemy - an enemy that is actively and daily seeking whom he may
devour, but we overcome the enemy by the blood of the lamb and the word of our
testimony!
Deliverance is often one of the most overlooked ministries in the Body of Christ
today. When it should be an integral ministry to those newly born again Christians
as well as to older Christians that need to be set free from strongholds of the
enemy, wrong thinking, and demonic influence. Many Christians have been living
their lives, often unknowingly, subject to the influence of the demonic realm. This
class is an exposé of the tactics of the enemy against believers; it will also provide
the tools found in the Bible for you to walk as the head and not the tail.

Following Pre-Membership Class we proceed to Membership. Membership is not
taken lightly at GCF. It is more than just being a part of a "club" but it is a
covenant relationship between the Governmental leadership of the house
(Delegated Spiritual Authority) and the members. In this class we cover various
Biblical Foundational topics as well as emphasizing the importance of knowing that
God has called you, not by accident or random choice, but according to his
purpose He has called you to be a member of Gresham Christian Fellowship.
Our Discipleship track is called "New Beginnings." The focus of our New
Beginnings Discipleship materials are the core foundational teachings of the Bible.
This course is taught in either a 2-on-1 setting, 1-on-1 setting, or small group
setting.
The Life of Christ is a class taught here at GCF. It's focus is understanding the
historical context into which Christ was born as well as the culture and setting in
which he lived his life, and how this impacts us personally in how we view our Lord
and Savior. One of the objectives of this class is to break some of the
misconceptions about Jesus as well as to reinforce the core teachings surrounding
his life. This class is educational, practical and personal - understanding Jesus as
our personal Lord and Savior.

"My Identity in Christ" is a class that focuses on how the finished work of Christ
impacts how we view ourselves. Too many Christians walk through life not
understanding their freedom in Christ and what it means to be the "New Creation."
In this class we will address areas that are widely accepted by many but are the
result of personal opinions or cultural trends taught as if they were doctrinal. The
goal of this class is to free people up to be everything Christ has called them to be!
