Here at GCF we believe that there are certain and absolute truths found in the word of God that shape who we are individually as well as
how we operate as a body, the church. Every church has a set of principles and philosophies that reveal what they are all about. Any church
that is Christ centered - word centered - finds these truths in the word of God, the Bible, and seeks to build according to the pattern revealed
in scripture. Our core beliefs directly support the vision and mission God has revealed to us here at GCF. These are principles that we will
not compromise, and we hope that all who embrace the vision of GCF embrace these truths and principles also.
The following is a list of core values that drive us into fulfilling the divine purpose of God.
The Bible
We believe in the inerrancy and accuracy of the word of God. It is God’s inspired word, it is the trustworthy authority for the Christian Faith
from which stem all of our beliefs.
(II Timothy 3:16; 2:15)
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in one God manifested in the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as revealed in scripture; distinguishable yet
indivisible and equal. The only way to salvation is found through Jesus Christ. In order to be saved you must receive Christ (John 14:6).
The Local Church
We are a Multi-ethnic, Spirit-filled, Christ worshiping, Bible believing church. The local church is a place for believers old and new, of all
backgrounds & walks of life, to come and be nurtured with the word of God. The purpose of God is being accomplished through the vehicle
of the local church. (Acts 2:47; 15:3)
The Faith Church
We believe that faith is a tool that God has placed in man that he might live above his circumstances and the dictates of what he sees with
his eyes. To live his life in the truth and knowledge of God. (Hebrews 11:6)
The Cell Church
We believe that meeting in cells allows for increased effectiveness in evangelism. It is a means to cultivate unity and bring involvement of
every member of the church to the work of the ministry of Christ.
The Church of Leaders; a disciple-making church
We believe that every Christian has a responsibility for the knowledge of the gospel that has been given to them. A Church of Leaders is a
church of disciple-makers. Actively involved in the great commission. (Matthew 28:19)
The Giving Church
At GCF we believe that tithing and giving offerings is one of the most basic practices to the Christian walk. Tithing is our opportunity to show
God that we trust him with our finances and that we put the work of the Lord first (Malachi 3:10, Matthew 6:21). Our goal is always to be
generous towards the work of the Lord!
The Praying Church
We believe that the House of the Lord is a house of prayer (Isaiah 56:7, Luke 19:46)! It is our responsibility as a church to stand in the gap
for those that have yet to receive Christ.
The Worshiping Church
We believe that worship is a powerful weapon for the believer, not only does it please the Lord it benefits his people, ushering them into His
presence where they can be changed by His presence. (Psalm 100:4)
The Spirit-Filled Church
We believe that the Spirit-filled life is for any and every believer who wants it! The Christian walk is not a walk through the mundane and the
harsh realities of life, it is a great adventure in the power of God in Christ who has overcome the world on our behalf! (Acts 4:31)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from salvation. The initial evidence to being baptized in the Holy
Spirit is speaking in tongues. (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 8:17)
The Women’s Ministry
We believe in women’s ministry! In the past women have been held back by inaccurate teaching about what the Bible has to say about
women being ministers of the gospel. We believe that each and every daughter of God can have expression in the body of Christ!
(Galatians 3:28, Acts 16:14)
The Deliverance Ministry
We believe there is a kingdom of light as well as a kingdom of darkness. The devil is real and he is out to steal kill and destroy. According
to scripture he and the demons will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. The only time he has to rob and attack Christians is this time
before the Lord’s return. ( Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:18, Matthew 10:8)
The Church of and to all nations
We believe in spreading the gospel to every nation on the earth. (Revelations 14:6)
The Eternal Purpose of God
We believe that God’s plan is prevailing in the earth! We believe in the victorious church of the last days, who’s glory outshines that of the
former house!
